You need to produce a Workday EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) spreadsheet – filling an EIB template with your source data, ready to upload to Workday.

What it does

EIB fills a Workday EIB template with data from one source (CSV / SQL / Report), applying mappings, translations, filters, and calculated columns. The result is an Excel file shaped exactly like the EIB expects, ready to upload to Workday. Multiple configurations can be grouped into a project to assemble a batch.

Typical workflow

1. Select the input source.
2. Select the EIB template file and the sheet within it to populate.
3. Map columns to EIB fields in Mapping; add Translate, Filter,

Calc, and Rules as needed.

4. Run the fill → download the EIB-ready Excel. Optionally assign the config to a

project (via Manage Projects) to bundle several into one batch.

Gotchas

• You must pick both the EIB template and a sheet before filling.
• EIB templates put the header row at row 5 and data starting at row 6 —

the generated file follows that layout.

• Rules run pre- and post-fill; violations are reported but don't fail the run.
• The output is ready for Workday but is not auto-uploaded — you upload it in

Workday yourself.
