Is the Free plan really free?

Yes — free forever, no credit card. You get all five tools with no run limits when your data comes from CSV/Excel files, plus a daily allowance of free hosted AI. Upgrade to Pro only when you need to connect directly to Workday (RaaS) or your databases.

Can I change plans later?

Absolutely. You can upgrade to Pro or cancel at any time from your account settings. If you cancel, you simply return to the Free plan.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment processor, Stripe.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is processed locally on your machine. We never upload or store your data files on our servers.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

It's about where your data comes from, not how often you use it. Free gives you the entire toolset with file-based sources (CSV/Excel) and no run limits. Pro adds live source connections — pulling straight from Workday RaaS report URLs and SQL databases (Oracle, Snowflake) — plus Pro Private AI (planned) and priority support.

How does licensing work?

Each license is per user. You can install the software on multiple machines (at different clients/locations) but can only be logged in on one at a time.

Windows says “Windows protected your PC” when I open it — is that a problem?

No. Because Kinetex is newly released, Windows SmartScreen may show that blue prompt the first time you run it — it just means the app hasn't been downloaded by enough people yet for Windows to recognize it. Click More info, then Run anyway. The download is digitally signed by Kinetex Consulting Services, Inc., runs entirely on your machine, and never sends your data anywhere. This prompt goes away on its own as more people install Kinetex.

Is my data sent to the AI? Is it private?

Privacy is the default. AI is optional, and when it's used your data files are never uploaded — only the minimal metadata for that feature, with PII redacted first. For mapping, the AI sees column names and structure, never the values (SSNs, IDs, salaries). Sharing any cell contents is controlled by one app setting that's off by default. Do I need to paste an API key to use the AI?

No. Free hosted AI is one click — no key, no account — with a daily allowance. If you'd rather use your own provider, you can paste your own API key, or point Kinetex at a fully local model.

Can I run the AI fully on my own machine?

Yes. Point Kinetex at your own Ollama instance and inference runs on your hardware — nothing leaves your network. Ideal for strict corporate environments or working offline.
